Machinery Dynamics and Vibro-acoustic Diagnostics
The work is devoted to the review of scientific researches in the field of machinery dynamics, which are carried out on the Technical Mechanics Chair of the MSTU, it makes results of the last five years of Chair’s activity, plans directions of further researches and invites to co-operation. Thus, the special attention is given to researches in the field of machinery non-linear dynamics and to analysis of theoretical and experimental results which are received in this area.

New methods of analysis of nonstationary high-speed variable machinery processes
The problem of analysis of the high-speed variable machinery processes, for example vibration and pressure pulsations in the units and systems of internal combustion engines, has been investigated in the paper. Particular attention has been given to applying of the latest advances in non-stationary signal processing such as Fast Fourier Transform and Wavelet Decompose. The method aimed to estimation of the system structure stability in the process of the non-stationary vibration has been offered in the paper. It is based on quantitative estimation of phase maps obtained via wavelets.

Computer technology and mathematics at the end of the XX century: results and perspectives
In the paper the new mathematical methods, which are related to the progress of computer engineering and technologies in the second half of the XX century, have been considered. In the work the applied character of the mathematics development in this period has been shown. This development is directed mainly on the problem of Artificial Intelligence creation in the next century. The solution of this problem is impossible without progress of the new mathematical approaches to the processes of subjective recognition of images. The examples of such approaches are fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic, wavelets and other parts of modern mathematics. Now the latest achievements in mathematics must be presented in modern university mathematical courses.

On outlooks of the regional economy in the North-west of Russia
The paper considers the way of marine revival of Russia and the concept of new regionalism. The connection between globalization and development of marine activity of coastal states has been shown, some functional directions of the national marine policy in the Russian Federation have been given. The meaning of the marine energy in the strategic development of the Kola Peninsula has been substantiated as well.

On new researching methods of analysing figures of regional economy
In the paper the techniques of the principal components method application to research of economic inequality and constructing of the regional development ratings have been proposed. This approach allows to research the structure and to determine the main direction of economic inequality of the studied systems. As an example the research of the inter-regional differentiation structure as well as construction of ratings of social and economic development of the Russian Federation subjects in 1998-2005 has been given.

The research of isolation of ship electrical machines while in operation and ship repair has been carried out. The stability of isolation resistance of powerful electrical machines is closely connected to varnish properties and methods of varnish drying during manufacturing the engine in periods of operation and repair at specialized enterprises.

An experimental exploration of the dynamical chaos' structures
In the paper a new approach to experimental research of dynamic chaos' structure has been offered. By examples of signals' and images' analysis the basic varieties of the structures and interrelation between chaotic structures have been shown. Some analytical relations for the interpretation of chaotic structures' evolution have been received. The studied examples concern to oceanology, paleoclimatology, paleontology, nanotechnology and economics..

Optimization of the sterilization process of canned food in water in the AVK-30M autoclave
Sterilization formula of canned food made of hydrobionts and coefficients of the temperature regulators in the sterilizer AVK-30M has been optimized using modeling of the sterilization process. Optimized sterilization process decreases electric power consumption by 20 % and process length by 9 %.

Diagnostics of the infrared smoke generator's heat flows by methods of quantitative IR-thermography with a purpose of energy efficiency raise
For a purpose of energy audit and on the basis of quantitative IR-thermography the diagnostic technic of heat flows produced by processing equipment in food production has been developed. The technic allows to obtain objective data on these flows' size and to work out a set of measures aimed at their optimization. Implementation of these methods has reduced nonproductive heat flows 7 times.
